CAPMIS

The OCWTP has developed three learning opportunities for CAPMIS (The Comprehensive Assessment and Planning Model - Interim Solution):

  1. The two-day CAPMIS Implementation Training Curriculum is available statewide.

  2. The one-day Screening: The First Step in Child Protection is designed for child welfare staff involved in the process of screening referrals. The workshop develops skills on engaging and interviewing referents, prompting for detailed information regarding safety factors, categorizing referral information based on CAPMIS screening guidelines, and making accurate safety and risk-informed decisions.

  3. The CAPMIS Tool Kit: Assessing for Child Safety Throughout the Life of a Case contains additional application and practice opportunities beyond the two-day foundational training.

Click on the videos below for a brief explanation of the current tools available for supervisors, managers, and caseworkers in individual county agencies. Be sure to CHECK BACK SOON, as additional tools are being developed.
